Science Exchange Panel: 80 Years of JIRP!
JIRP is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year! We’ll be hosting a Science Exchange Panel at AGU to discuss the program and its history, foundational research that took place on the Icefield, and what JIRP’s next 80 years could look like. This will serve as a gathering place for the thousands of glaciologists, climate scientists, policy makers, mountain guides, and artists that have participated in, taught at, and conducted research on JIRP. We aim for this panel to be relevant to all folks involved in organizing independent field-based teaching and research programs.
